Welcome to Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dibrugarh
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is a noble concept developed by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) as primary links to empower the farmers, farm women and rural youth through capacity buildings. It is an innovative science based institution which functions with collaborative participation of scientists, extension workers and farmers to disseminate and transfer technology developed in the laboratory for the field application at farmers' level and developing agriculture and allied sectors.
KVK Dibrugarh was established in the 2007. It is located in Romai-Kordoibam village covering an area of 16 ha. It is about 20 km away towards south-eastern direction of Dibrugarh town, the district head quarter, 8 km from Lahoal, a small town with a railway station and 15 Km from Dibrugarh Airport.

On-Farm Trials (OFTs)
On Farm Trial is a set of procedures for adaptive research whose purpose is to develop recommendations for representative groups of farmers. In On-farm trial, farmers participate in identifying problems and its priorities, managing experiment and evaluating results. It is a trial carried out on farmer's fields and in a farmer's environment.

KVK is constantly organizing short and long term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for farmers, farm women and rural youth for raising production and productivity in farm and generating self – employment.
